Jet Building Paint Shop

Effective 16 September 2026

1. Who we are

This Privacy Policy explains how Jet Building Paint Shop, trading online as JetBuilding (we, us or our), handles personal information when you use our website, create an account, place an order, request delivery pricing or contact us.

Our store address is 2/3 Enterprise Dr, Beenleigh QLD 4207. We aim to handle personal information consistently with applicable Australian privacy requirements, including the Australian Privacy Principles where they apply to us.

2. Information we collect

Depending on how you use the store, we may collect:

  • your name, email address, telephone number and delivery address;
  • membership and login information, saved profile details and your communication preferences;
  • orders, products, quantities, prices, GST, invoices, payment status, refunds and delivery records;
  • address-search results, delivery distance and information needed to calculate or complete delivery;
  • enquiries, correspondence, complaints and information you submit to customer support;
  • technical information such as browser or device type, IP address, security events, cookies and website usage data; and
  • limited payment information supplied by our payment provider, such as payment status, card brand, last four digits or a secure payment-method reference.

We do not store or display your full card number or full bank-account credentials. Those details are handled by the relevant payment provider.

3. How we collect information

We generally collect information directly from you when you register, update your profile, type an address, place an order, save a payment method, submit an enquiry or communicate with us. We may also receive information from payment processors, banks, delivery providers, authentication services and other providers involved in completing your transaction.

If you provide information about another person, you should have their authority to do so and ensure the information is accurate.

4. Why we use personal information

We may use personal information to:

  • create and manage your membership account and automatically fill saved contact or delivery details;
  • process payments, detect fraud, verify transactions and manage refunds or disputes;
  • accept, fulfil and record orders, calculate GST and produce invoices and delivery documents;
  • search and validate delivery addresses, calculate delivery fees and arrange local or Toll delivery;
  • respond to enquiries, complaints and product or order questions;
  • maintain accounting, tax, audit, security and business records, including Xero records;
  • operate, secure, troubleshoot and improve the website and customer experience;
  • send service messages about accounts, orders, payments and deliveries; and
  • comply with law, respond to lawful requests and protect our customers, staff and business.

5. Membership profiles and saved payment methods

Members may save and later edit their name, telephone number, email address and delivery address so those details can be filled automatically at checkout. You remain responsible for reviewing the details before each order.

If you choose to save a payment method, Eway or the relevant payment provider stores the payment credentials. We receive a secure reference that allows the saved method to be offered again, but we do not receive your complete card number or complete bank-account credentials.

6. When we disclose information

We may disclose only the information reasonably required to service providers that help us operate the store, including:

  • Eway, participating banks and payment or fraud-prevention providers;
  • Xero and other accounting, invoicing or business-record providers;
  • local delivery providers and Toll for eligible long-distance deliveries;
  • website hosting, database, authentication, address-search, email and security providers;
  • professional advisers, insurers, regulators, courts, law-enforcement bodies or government agencies where required or permitted by law; and
  • a purchaser or successor if our business or relevant assets are sold or reorganised, subject to appropriate confidentiality protections.

We do not sell personal information.

7. Overseas processing

Some technology and payment providers may store or process information outside Australia or use personnel located overseas. The countries involved may change as providers update their infrastructure. Where required, we take reasonable steps to select reputable providers and require appropriate protection of information.

Third-party providers also handle information under their own privacy policies. You may review those policies before using an associated payment or service feature.

8. Cookies and website data

We may use cookies and similar browser technologies that are necessary for sign-in, cart operation, security and remembering relevant preferences. We may also use limited technical data to understand website performance and diagnose problems.

You can control cookies through your browser, but disabling essential cookies may prevent account, cart or checkout features from working correctly.

9. Security and retention

We take reasonable technical and organisational steps to protect information against loss, unauthorised access, misuse, alteration or disclosure. No online service or method of transmission can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

We retain personal information only for as long as reasonably needed for the purposes described above, including order fulfilment, customer service, fraud prevention, accounting, tax, dispute resolution and legal compliance. We may then delete or de-identify it where lawful and practical.

10. Access, correction and account details

You may edit saved member contact and delivery details through your account where that function is available. You may also ask us to provide access to or correct personal information we hold about you. We may need to verify your identity and may refuse or limit a request where permitted by law, in which case we will explain the reason where appropriate.

11. Marketing and service communications

We may send communications that are necessary to operate your account or complete an order. If we send optional marketing communications, we will do so in accordance with applicable law and provide a way to unsubscribe. Unsubscribing from marketing does not prevent essential order, payment, delivery or security messages.

12. Privacy questions and complaints

For an access or correction request, a privacy question, or a complaint about how we handled your information, email [email protected] or write to Jet Building Paint Shop, 2/3 Enterprise Dr, Beenleigh QLD 4207.

Please provide enough detail for us to understand the request. We will review it and respond within a reasonable period. If you are not satisfied, you may have the right to contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner.

13. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy when our services, providers or legal obligations change. The current version and its effective date will be published on this page.
